A Room of One's Own

I remember reading the short book, "A Room of One's Own" by Virginia Woolf when I was 18 yrs old. I remember being struck by two things after I read it: #1) How the heck did this Virginia person know my life so well, and #2) Why exactly is this feminist literature? Am I missing something?

I suppose one could discuss #2) over and over in a debate in a Lit class, but that is oh so boring, why would we even go there. The point is, this book was a major breakthrough to me, and ever since then I can say, especially now, and at this very moment: I cannot tell you how fabulous it is to have a "Room of My Own"!
